Jen Bashford – Australian educator, learner, thinker, feminist, traveller, blogger.

I am a passionate secondary educator from Australia and want to build a conversation around best practice in school and how teachers can be empowered to deliver high educational outcomes for all students.

I have taught VCE and the Australian Curriculum in public schools in Victoria, and have taught the International Baccalaureate MYP and DP at an International School in Taiwan. I’m currently teaching middle-years English while also managing 250 year 8 students, and supporting students with additional learning needs, at an excellent public school in Victoria. I am inspired by the pursuit of high quality teaching and learning in myself and with others, and am a passionate advocate for public education.

Interested in all things education, I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of education for every child – hence, All Education Matters!
